VALLEY VIEW - William Carey "Bill" Adams, a building contractor and breeder of registered quarter horses, died Wednesday at a Sherman hospital. He was 75.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Clement-Keel Funeral Home in Gainesville. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery.
Mr. Adams was born in McComb, Grayson County, and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Valley View, Gainesville Masonic Lodge 210, Scottish Rite Bodies of Dallas, American Quarter Horse Association, and in 1957, was an organizer and charter member of Cockrell Hill Saddle Club.
Survivors: Wife, Mae Gwyn Adams of Valley View; brother, Kenneth Adams of Austin; and two sisters, Bess Rust of Vallejo, Calif., and Fay McNeme of Richardson.
