Robert O. Bingham, age 84, a resident of Irving, Texas for 26 years, died Sunday, January 11, 2009 in Irving. Born March 31, 1924 In Calf Creek, Texas to Cafford O. and Sally Attaway Bingham, he was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII, serving in the Pacific Theatre for three years, three months and eight days. Robert married Gwen Keith on February 1, 1947 in Brady, Texas. He was a member of the Sons of the Republic of Texas and Beltline Road Church in Christ in Irving. Preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother, survivors include his wife of 62 years, Gwen; children, Don Morgan and wife connie of Grapevine, Karen Pape of Midland, Robert K, Bingham, Sr. and wife Cynde of Irving; grandchildren, Brian Morgan and wife Beth of Grapevine, Greg Morgan and wife Kerrie of San Antonio, Robert K. Bingham, Jr. and wife Kristin of Irving, Candice Lynn Morris and husband Jace of Carrollton and Celia Anne Bingham of Denton; ten great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; sister, Siter Fowler of Odessa; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends....
