Chester - Robert L. Allison, 49, died suddenly at home on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2009. Son of Alvin Allison and the late Polly Lynch Allison, Bob was born on March 6, 1959, in Newell. He recently worked as a mechanic at Chaney's Auto Service. Surviving at home is his wife, Sherry Garlow Allison; one son, Matthew Allison, also at home; one daughter, Stephanie Allison, of Chester; and a brother, Scott Allison, of Morgantown, W. Va. The Rev. Dennis Arnold will officiate services at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 16, 2009, at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester followed by burial in Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens. Friends may visit from 2 - 4 and 5 - 8 p.m. on Thursday.
