Died at his residence in this city on Sunday morning, October 23 1892, after a long illness, Thomas Hamilton aged 70 years.
Mr. Hamilton was born in Ohio in 1822 and was married in 1844. He was the father of six children, three of who survive him. About thirty years ago he united with the M. E.
church and has ever since lived consistent Christian life. He was a man with sterling honesty, winning ways, and made a friend of every acquaintance, and was several times
honored by the people of this community by being elected to various offices, which he always filled with credit and ability. His funeral was held at the residence on
Wednesday morning, Rev. C. C. Swartz of the M. E. church officiating. The afflicted family have the sympathy of a large circle of sympathizing friends.
