Originally buried in Wooldridge Cemetery then entire cemetery was moved to Brackeen in 1992.
Wooldridge Cemetery is located in the southwest quadrant of the county. It is in Block 47 of the Lamar County Road Map produced by American Drafting and Services revised December 1993. The original cemetery of what was thought to be only three graves is in a field northwest of Brackeen Cemetery at the dead end of the road leading to Brackeen Cemetery. The three grave markers in Wooldridge were scheduled to be moved to Brackeen Cemetery in 1992 by Bettie Sayers, P.O. Box 335, Paris, TX, 75460, who recorded the records 11 Aug 1992, but as of 2011 have not been. There are now five records of burial here after the addition of information from B. Don Taylor, 21 Apr 1995, 13901-SE Somerset Ln., Bellevue, WA, 98006-2268. In April 1995 an attempt was made to locate these tombstone to no avail by Ron Brothers and Butch and Betsy Mills. In May 2011, the grandson of the landowner provided these GPS coordinates for the cemetery: 33° 34' 51.35 N, 95° 36' 15.37 W.

There are now five records of burial here after the addition of information from B. Don Taylor, 21 Apr 1995, 13901-SE Somerset Ln., Bellevue, WA, 98006-2268. In April 1995 an attempt was made to locate these tombstone to no avail by Ron Brothers and Butch and Betsy Mills.

Blankenship died 26 Apr 1910, Hubert Bolton died 16 Jan 1910, Edmund Wooldridge (1808 - 1861), Infant Daughter Wooldridge 3 Nov 1870 - 11 Dec 1870, Malinda Goar Wooldridge died 25 Jan 1864, Miles W. Wooldridge 28 Jul 1876 - 13 Nov 1889, Oliver L. Wooldridge 2 May 1883 - 27 Aug 1891

Edmund and Malinda Goar Wooldridge moved from Green County, IL to Lamar County, Texas about 1841 and livered there until he died about the time of the Civil War. Malinda and Edmund are buried in the Wooldridge Cemetery.
Edmund married Malinda abt 1830 in Grayson, Kentucky.
Edmund was the son of William Wooldridge and Susannah Lyons Wooldridge and was born in Russell County, Kentucky.
His grandfather, Richard Wooldridge and his family, including Edmund's father, were Kentucky pioneers.
Edmund was on 1840 census in Green County and in Lamar County in 1841. His brother William Wooldridge, son of Edmund's brother, Richard, migrated to Lamar County with him.

Don Taylor, Bellevue, WA, 21 Apr 1995: 'Edmund and Malinda Goar Wooldridge moved from Greene Co., IL to Lamar Co. about 1841 and lived there until they died about the time of the Civil War. Malinda is said to have died on 25 Jan 1864 and it appears that Edmund died sometime between 1860 Census and the time of her death. They are said to be buried in the Wooldridge Family Cemetery.'

Information from Patricia Andersen Naiser, Kyle, TX, [email protected], 19 Feb 2012: Edmund Miles Wooldridge was born in 1808 in Greene County, KY and died in 1861 in Paris, Lamar, TX. He was married to Malinda Goar in 1830 in Grayson, KY. Taken from family records. His son was Miles Lorin Wooldridge. Miles' daughter was Ella Olivia Wooldridge (my great grandmother).

Information from Rayburn Hill, Rockwall, TX, [email protected], 14 Sep 2011: Edmond (Edmund) Wooldridge was a son of William Wooldridge and Susannah Lyons Wooldridge. He was born in Russell County, Kentucky. His grandfather, Richard Wooldridge and his family, including Edmond's father, were Kentucky pioneers. Edmond's family moved to Greene County, Illinois, and appeared on the 1840 census in Greene County. Edmond was in Lamar County by 1841. His nephew William Wooldridge, son of Edmond's brother, Richard, migrated to Lamar County with him. His family was enumerated on the 1850 and 1860 censuses in Lamar County.
