Mrs. Clara J. Anderson, widow of Charles Anderson, died early Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Silas Cuddeback, on the River road in Montague, after a long illness. She was born at Pilgrim Corners, N.Y. November 17, 1847, a daughter of Timothy Horton and Hannah Murray Ketchum. She was married January 11, 1866 at Howells, N.Y., to CHARLES ANDERSON of Goshen. Mr. Anderson died May 28, 1883. Mrs. Anderson was a member of the Port Jervis Methodist Church and the Ladies' Aid Society of the church. She resided in Port Jervis for many years, but for the last twenty-three years lived with her daughter in Montague. Besides Mrs. Cuddaback, she is survived by two other daughters, Mrs. Clara Hamilton of Jersey City and Mrs. Nellie Jones of Port Jervis; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Cuddeback home with the Rev. C. B. Geyer officiating. Interment will be held in Laurel Grove Cemetery.
