Headstone inscription calls him Richard R. Fellows, but he was also known as Rathbone Richard Fellows, one of the 13 children of Warner Fellows and Lucinda Winslow of Westford, Otsego County, New York. The name Rathbone, also spelled Rathbun and Rathburn, was the maiden name of his father's mother.

Biography of Richard Rathbone Fellows
Lyons Wis. Loomis. 1947, p. 24-25
Wisconsin Historical Society

Richard Rathbun Fellows was born in Otsego County, N.Y. in 1818, and died at Lyons in the year 1886. He was married in 1840 to Cecile Emma Maddox, born in England in 1823, and [she] died at Council Bluffs, Iowa, in 1915.

Mr. Fellows emigrated to Wisconsin in 1858 and was for long a respected citizen of the community. Amos Fellows, who also settled early in this township, was a brother of Richard Rathbun; his wife was Lovisa Coffin. The Hand and Cowles families were related to the Fellows and the three families held picnics together in the days past. Richard R Fellows was an active member of the Methodist Church at Lyon.

Both he and Cecile E. are buried in the Lyons Millpond Cemetery [aka Lyons Quaker Cemetery]. Their children were: Ellen, single, John, single, Charles, married to Ella Chamberlain, Clifford, single, Fred Winslow, married to May Wolsey [Woolsey], Mabel, married to EJ Towsley [Towslee].

Obituary, The Herald, Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, Friday, Jan. 22, 1886

Mr. R.R. Fellows died Sunday night about 12:00 [18 Jan 1886], only being sick since the Wednesday before. He was not considered dangerously sick, in fact, very few had learned of his illness, and were much surprised to hear of his death. When first taken he complained of a severe pain in his hip and it gradually extended to his spine and terminated with the paralysis of the brain.

Mr. Fellows was in his 68th year, and leaves a wife and five children, three sons and two daughters, Fred and May at home, Clifford and Charley in Minnesota and Nellie in New York state. The children who reside at a distance were notified by telegram and Clifford arrived Tuesday and it is expected that the daughter from New York state will be here Wednesday evening. The funeral was appointed for Wednesday but a telegram from Nellie informing them that she should be here Wednesday, it was postponed until Thursday.

I haven't found records (beyond genealogies) to source a family history book's assertion that RR Fellows or any of his 12 siblings were born in Baldwinsville, Onondaga County, New York. The census and other records confirm that his father and family lived in Worcester and Westford, Otsego County, New York. (Westford is one of the three towns formed from Worcester in 1808.).

The headstones of his father Warner Fellows and his older sister Susanna (Mrs. William Darling) are in Westford Cemetery. Per New York census records, the only sibling not born in Otsego County was RR's eldest sister Mary (Mrs. Daniel Kelley), who was born in Columbia County, New York, where his parents were married.

The story that RR's siblings were born in Baldwinsville may be explained by the fact that three siblings, Harriet (Mrs. James C. Seward), David and Amos (who later joined him in Wisconsin), lived near Baldwinsville as adults. Another brother Warner (who moved to Indiana) married Charlotte Howe from a family that lived near Baldwinsville.
