NELSON'S parents were LOCKE PAUL AND EULA BELLE LAMBERT TUTTLE.

NELSON was A first LIEUTENANT in the ARMY OF THE UNITED STATES. C CO, 1ST BN, 27TH,INF RGT, 25 INF DIV. He began his tour of duty NOVEMBER 4,1969

He died in LONG KHANH,SOUTH VIETNAM as a result of HOSTILE GROUND FIRE.

NELSON WAS A CHRISTIAN and had been a member of the BAPTIST CHURCH FOR MANY YEARS.

His name is on the VIETNAM MEMORIAL IN WASHINGTON,D.C. Panel o8W line 021.

Nelson (bottom right) was a Member of the Cowboys organization at Hardin-Simmons University before being commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant and going off to Vietnam.
