1919 July 11 Scott County Argus-The community was shocked Wednesday morning to learn that Harry Nyssen had suffered a stroke of bulbar palsy during the night and that his death was only a question of hours. He continued to sink during the day and passed away at 12:30 O'clock Thursday morning, without rallying. Mr. Nyssen had been working at the stove foundry as usual Tuesday and remarked that he never felt better. That evening he walked to St. Mark's Church, a block distant [sic] from his home, and his return complained of dizziness. He retired shortly after and feeling ill, a physician was called but found beyond his aid. Deceased was 37 years and 8 months old. He was born and reared in Shakopee and excepting for a few short months spent in Milwaukee had resided here his whole life. He was the son of Hubert Nyssen and until last March was associated with with his father in the Brewery business. His marriage took place September 10, 1907 to Mrs Bertha Kopp, who survives him with two children, Carl and Harriet. Besides he is mourned by his father, two sisters, Mrs. frank Ess of Chaska, Mrs. J.H. Stans, two step-sisters, Mrs. M Schlinker, Miss Ellen Winker, and a step brother Lawrence Winker, all of this city. His sudden death has brought deep sorrow to his bereaved family to whom the sympathy of friends goes out. Funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at nine o'clock from St. Mark's church. Rev. Fr. Savs will be the officiating clergyman and interment will be in the upper Catholic Cemetery.
