He is survived by his wife, Jane of Vacaville and his daughters Jennifer Rogers, Julie Burley, Jennell Flannery and Jessica Stephens all of Dixon. He also leaves behind his father Edwin Price Sr. and siblings, Edwin Jr. of Galena, Missouri, Larry of Puyallup, Wash. and Rebecca Rose of Vancouver, Wash. He had nine grandchildren: Kayla and Hillary Burley; Ethan, Elyssa, Hayden Rogers, Isabella Flannery; and Mia, twins, Kaitlyn and Madison Stephens, all of Dixon. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret and brother, Norman.
James was the owner/operator of an underground construction business, Knapp's Grading and Backhoe and later CO-owner of Ironstone Construction. He also worked on the Alaskan pipeline from 1975 - 1982.
He loved to spend time with his family and friends fishing, scuba diving, flying, going on cruises and camping. He also loved to sing and make people laugh with his wonderful sense of humor. He will be sorely missed.
There will be a viewing for friends and family held on Friday, Jan. 16, from 5 - 7 p.m. at McCunes, 212 Main St., Vacaville.
Services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 17, at 11 a.m., Valley Church, 5063 Maple Rd. in Vacaville.
Internment will immediately follow at Rockville Cemetery.
