"Prentis L. East - Vidor (spl) - Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. in the Williamson Ward Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for Prentis L. East, 78, of Vidor. He died yesterday at 5:30 p.m. in the M. D. Anderson Hospital in Houston. Services will be under the direction of Bishop Asa Christman of Vidor. Burial will be in Williamson Cemetery in Vidor with the Vidor Memorial Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers will be Van Ray Cappen, Arnold Thompson, Quincy Stephenson, John E. Baker and J. P. Smith. East, a native of Brookhaven, Miss., had lived most of his life in Vidor and Port Arthur. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He is survived by one daughter, Mr's Hazel Cappen of Vidor; two brothers, Percy E. East, both of Bogue Chitto, Miss.; one sister, Mrs Rance Smith of Groves; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. (personal note it says "two brothers" only one was shown in obituary)."
