Shirley Bush Chandler
79, of 128 Crescent Drive died Sept. 1 at Edgewood Estates Nursing Home in Menifee County.
Born Oct. 20, 1916, in Montgomery County, he was a son of the late Dave and Lucy Gilvin Chandler. He was a member of Gateway Christian Church and was retired from the Avon Army Depot. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma Cornwell Chandler of Mt. Sterling and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Sept. 3 at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals with the Rev. Glenn Emery officiating. Burial was in Machpelah Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Tom Gabbard, Carless Blevins, Jody Cooksey, Jerry Elliott, David Manley and Bronson Wigginton.
Honorary pallbearers were Vernon Gibbs and the elders and deacons of Gateway Christian Church
