Augusta L. Thomas, 57, of 2631 Grand, died at 5:40 a.m. yesterday [January 15, 1953] at Veterans Hospital. He was a veteran of World War I and recently had been employed at the Naval Ordnance Plant. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Anna Thomas; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Reowek and Mrs. Rita Ackaway, both of Paterson, NJ; two sons, Charles E. & Joseph Thomas; three sisters, Mrs. Harry Werling, Warrensburg, MO; Mrs. Eli Drury and Mrs. P.A. Ray; four brothers, Joseph, Robert, Mitchell & James Thomas, and seven grandchildren. The funeral will be at 8:45 a.m. tomorrow at Owen's Chapel, 2611 Virginia, and at 9 a.m. at St. Benedict Church. Burial will be in Zachary Taylor National Cemetery.
