Funeral services for Impie Huhta, 77, of 614 D Street, Rock Springs, were held Tuesday, Oct. 18. The Rev. Roy A. Miller of the First Methodist Church officiated.
Interment was in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
She died Saturday, Oct. 15 at the Kimberly Manor Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Lyons, Colo., May 4, 1900, the daughter of the late John and Marie Evelyn Simonson, and she attended school in Lyons.
Pallbearers were Angelo Anselmi, Leonard Hansen, Oliver Hensala, Tarmo Hilbacka, Arthur Pentila and Henry Rood.
She was married to John Henry Huhta in Hanna, Wyoming in 1919 and came to Rock Springs to make her home the same year.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Elsie and Tim Nousi, Rock Springs; a sister, Alma Ulvila, Rock Springs, and two grandchildren, Tim J. Nousi and Janice L. Bryan, both of Rock Springs and three great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband John H. Huhta, a sister, Edith Parkko and a brother, J.E. Koski.
