Retta Lorene Capehart was born August 4, 1903 in Hickory County, MO to John Ellis & Sara Elizabeth (Burton) Capehart. On June 5, 1923 she married Howard Lincoln Fleak in Jefferson, IA. They were the parents of 3 children, 2 of whom are still living. Retta died Feb. 6, 1993 in Ft. Dodge, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents John & Sarah Capehart in 1908 when she was just 5 years old; a sister, Mabel Prochnow in 1964; a brother William Arval in 1966 and a daughter Dorothy Pauline McCastle in 1965. Funeral services conducted by Rev. Val Hauck were held in the Rose Room at Bruce's Funeral Home, Ft. Dodge, IA on Tuesday, February 16, 1993 at 10:30 a.m. Organist was Agnes Hagen and Special Services were by the VFW Ladie's Auxillary. Burial was in the Ft. Dodge Memorial Park Cemetery, Ft. Dodge, IA.
