Services for Mary Christina Ray, 82, of 1241 Palisades Way, Rock Springs were conducted Wednesday, March 2 at the Vase Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Roy A. Miller officiated.

Burial was in the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.

Floyd Tate, Eugene Kincaid, Edward Yori, John Kowlok, Michael Cane and Glenn Heagney served as pallbearers.

She was born in Baggs, Wyo. on March 20, 1901, the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Eckley Cogdill. She attended schools in Thermopolis and married Ivan A. Ray in Termopolis on Nov. 16, 1919. He preceded her in death on April 12, 1973. Mrs. Ray came to Rock Springs in 1940 and moved to Salt Lake City for a number of years before moving back to Rock Springs in August 1972. Mrs. Ray was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. John (Geraldine) Kowlok of Rock Springs, and Mrs. William (Evelyn) Carr of Hillsborough, Calif.; one son, Ivan E. Ray of San Jose, Calif.; one granddaughter, Mrs. Craig (MaryAnn) Thompson of Rock Springs; two grandsons, Michael and Bruce Kane of San Bruno, Calif.; one niece, Lorraine Hansen of San Diego, Calif. and one nephew, Donald Ray of Cody.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Ray was preceded in death by five brothers, four sisters and three grandsons, Sgt. James Craig Kowlok who died Aug. 16, 1966, John R. Kowlok who died Aug. 4, 1971 and Richard Kowlok who died Dec. 22, 1976.
