Services for Oma Mae Whittington, 82, were at 10:30 a.m. today at First Baptist Church, Thackerville, with Revs. Wallace Stringer and David Whittington officiating. Interment followed at New Rest Haven Cemetery, Gainesville, Texas.
Born to Joseph Howard and Ada Riley Morgan, Dec. 8, 1910, Mrs. Whittington died Saturday at Frontier Manor Nursing Home, Gainesville, Texas.
A lifetime resident of Thackerville, she married Joe Edgar Whittington July 24, 1932, in Ardmore and was a member of First Baptist Church, Thackerville. Her husband preceded her in death May 14, 1991.
Survivors include two brothers, Richard Morgan, Oklahoma City and Oce Morgan, Thackerville, and a sister Lela Bright, California.
Bearers were John Wade, Danny Sampson, Wesley Smith, Larry Hicks, Pete Jordon and James Bell.
Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home directed services.
