Clarence A. Kolberg, age 90, of New Holstein died Tuesday January 20, 2009 at the Homestead Care Center in New Holstein.
He was born March 17, 1918 in the Town of How in Oconto County, a son of the late Paul & Anna (Heinrich) Kolberg.
On November 1, 1941 he married Lydia Bratz at St. James-St. John Lutheran Church in Reedsville.
Clarence had worked at the Hart Carter Co., Lauson Engines and Tecumseh Engine Products in New Holstein until his retirement in 1984.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in New Holstein.
Survivors include his wife, Lydia Kolberg of New Holstein; his daughter, Clarice (Dennis) Schneider of Elkhart Lake; 4 grandchildren and their families, Daniel (Doreen) Schneider and their children, Zachary & Nathan, Lori (Gary) Theune and their child, Kayla, David (Nikki) Schneider and their children, Joshua, Amanda, Somer, Nicole and Joshua, Lynn (Andrew) Hopp and their children, Alex, Samuel, Abram, Rebecca & Rachel; a great-great grandson, Caden; a sister, Alvina Coonan of Waupaca and 3 brothers, Clifford (Marie) Kolberg of Madison, Orland (Emma) Koenig of Suring and Clinton (Ruth) Koenig of Shawano. Preceding him in death were his parents, Paul Kolberg & Anna Kolberg Koenig; his step father, Gustav Koenig; 2 great-grandchildren, Jacob & Matthew; a sister, Cleora and 4 brothers, Leander, Luallen, Hugo & Elroy.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday January 24, 2009 at Zion Lutheran Church 1702 Van Buren Street New Holstein. Burial will be in the Zion Evergreen Cemetery in Reedsville.
The Sippel Funeral Home in New Holstein is assisting the family.
