Berthoud Bulletin, Berthoud, CO April 26, 1902: DIED. JONES. -- Thursday night at his home in Berthoud, of consumption, Friend Jones, aged 36 years and 8 months.
The deceased was born in Dundee, Monroe Co., Michigan, April 24th, 1865. He has lived in Colo. about 7 years. He leaves a wife, 6 children, father, mother, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters, to mourn his loss. His brother Fay and sister Mrs. A.B. Caldwell, of Longmont, Colo. were with him when he died. He was buried from the U.B. Church at 1 o'clock yesterday p.m. in the Berthoud cemetery. Rev. O.A. Smith conducted the service.

Friend and Cynthia Jones had a son, Seymour Jones, born Apr 11, 1893 in Logan twp., Adams County, NE. He died 1894 after choking. Family oral history says his burial was in the Morris Cemetery on March 31, l894. The grave has not been found as of 2023.
