Civil War Soldier.
Residence Madison, IN;
Enlisted on 8/15/1861 as a Private.

On 8/15/1861 he mustered into "K" Co. 22nd Indiana Infantry.
He was Killed on 10/8/1862 at Perryville, KY.
Adams was a member of the color guard. He was shot in one arm at the battle of Perryville and moved the flag to the other arm. When shot there he clentched the flag with his teeth, until shot in the head, causing him to die instantly.
