Maurice was born on Nov 9, 1916 in Lowell, VT, the son of Eusebe and Ernestine (Messier) Gibeault. He married Irene Fenner and they had three children: Richard, Marie and Donna.

His obituary names four brothers: Leo of Clearwater, FA, Gerard or Oakville, CT, Leonard of Waterbury, CT, and George of Watertown, CT: plus four sisters:Bertha Braves, Lillian Harkins, Cecile Martin and Lucianne Sampson.

Maurice was a stationary engineer for 20 years at New England Baptist Hospital in Boston. He was also an Army veteran of WWII serving in Europe. He lived both in Worcester and in Somerville for many years. Maurice was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Disabled Veterans and the Klaxton Antique Car CLub.
