MACON - Mr. Athos W. Wright passed away January 23, 2009. Funeral services will be held 2P.M. Sunday, January 25, 2009. Interment will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Brad Marchman will be officiating.
Mr. Wright was retired from Robins Air Force Base and served in the United State Navy during WWII. He was also a member of Lawrence Drive Baptist Church. Mr. Wright was preceded in death by a daughter Vickie Ellen Wright.
Mr. Wright is survived by his wife, Grace Jones Wright; two daughters, Teri Ross (Raymond) of Macon and Melanie Monroe (Jim) of Newnan, GA; son, A.W. Wright III (Lisa) of Macon; four grandchildren, Jay and Wes Ross, Matt and Jonathan Wright; one sister, Pat Hopkin (Farland) of Lizella; several nieces and nephews also survive.
