Mrs. Martha (Thompson) Ammerman died June 10, at home in Dysart of apoplexy, after an illness of four days. She was born March 24, 1861 at Juniata Gap. Surviving is her husband, Frank J. Ammerman; four daughters: Mrs. Katie Overton, Mrs. Bertha Shoemack, , Mrs. Edna G Fink, and Mrs. Mary Plasic; five sons: Glen F., William P. of Van Ormer, George R. of Fallentimber, Charles W. of Dysart, and Cyrus V. of Carlisle; one sister, Mrs. Eva Myers; one brother, Cyrus B. Thompson; 33 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. Burial in Glasgow, Pa. (Altoona Tribune, June 12, 1933)
