Elizabeth A. "Libby" Nichols, 59, of Vineland, died late Saturday afternoon in Bridgeton Hospital. She had been a hospital patient since Feb. 12 and in serious condition since that time.

Born in Bridgeton, the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Press Nichols, she was a lifetime area resident. She had formerly resided in Bridgeton before moving to Vineland five years ago.

For the past 10 years, Ms. Nichols had been employed as a sales clerk at the K-Mart store on Delsea Drive. Prior to that she had worked at the former Mr. Big store on N. Pearl Street and Grant City at Carlls Corner.

She was a former member of Central United Methodist Church and at one time was a member of the women's bowling league at bow-O-Drome.

Surviving are two daughters, Beth Anne and Cathy Woodward of Millville; three sons, Dennis Woodward of Seeley Road, Irving Woodward of Millville and Robert Woodward of Bridgeton; a stepdaughter Anne Nichols of Millville; her stepmother, Katherine "Kay" Nichols of Cottage Avenue; a sister, Martha Gosbin of Cedarbrook Avenue; a brother James Nichols of Cedarbrook Avnue; and a setpsister, Jeannie Orage of Fern Road.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday from the Freitage Funeral Home, 137 W. Commerce St., with the Rev Earl Heckman, pastor of First Wesleyan Church, officiating.

The interment will be made at Overlook Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the funeral home Tuesday after 7 p.m.

The family suggests that contibutions in her menory be made to the American Cancer Society, Landis Avenue and Orchard Road, Vineland, NJ 08360.
