On the morning of May 30th, the spirit of Sister Alice Tyler, the beloved wife of B.F. Tyler, took its flight to the great beyond. Sister Tyler was 50 years old, having been born in 1871. She professed a hope in Christ at the age of 14 years and joined the M.D. Church, South, and lived a devoted Christian life until God called her home. She is survived by her husband, several sons and daughters with a host of relatives and friends to mourn their loss. THe remains were tenderly laid to rest in Lee's Chapel Cemetery on May 31st amid a concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends, the funeral services being conducted by Rev. L.T. Fendley, assisted by Rev. W.T. Churchwell, Rev. J.A.D. Glanton and her Pastor, Rev. Kaylor. "Blessed are the dead which died in the Lord."
