DENDY: Thomas W. Dendy, 73, who had been a resident of Silver City for the past 2 years, died last Friday at the Veterans Administration Hospital at Fort Bayard. He was a veteran of World War I, and a retired employee of Kennecott Copper Corp. The deceased was a past commander of the Silver City. American Legion Post; past Chef De Garre of the 40 & 8; and was Boy Scout advisor to Geronimo District of the Yucca Council. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Edna Dendy of Silver City; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Bristow and Mrs. Lorraine Brady, both of Phoenix five grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Lillie Craker of Los Angeles; Mrs. Dorothy MacDonald of San Rafael, Calif., and Mrs. Ellen Oehl of Burbank, Ca; and two brothers, Jess Dendy and Joe Dendy of Los Angeles. The Rev. Harold E. Johnson of the Santa Rita Community Church conducted funeral services at 10 a.m. Monday at the Curtis Mortuary chapel. Internment was in the mausoleum at Memory Lane Cemetery with military honors.
