"West Austintown - May 3 – William Ewing died at his home in this township, west of Camp Park, last Sunday after an illness of only a few hours with pneumonia. Deceased was a son of Archibald and Jane Russell Ewing and was born April 21, 1840, on the farm where he died. He was a good man, held in high esteem by all who knew him. Two brothers, Harvey and Alexander, a nephew, Ensign Harding and a niece, Mrs. Daniel Lorentz survive him. Funeral services were held at the family home Tuesday forenoon and interment was made in the Covenanter cemetery."
