William Samuel Barckley died Saturday after a long illness. Funeral services will be Thursday afternoon at the Methodist church,with Rev Barnard Clark officiating, assisted by Rev. H.W. Hollar. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Mr. Barkley was born at Hoopston,Ill.,November 3,1877. In 1884 he moved with his parents to Washington,Kan., and received his education there and for eight years he was a school teacher. On February,--,1904, he was united in marriage to Miss Electa Hodges and in 1937 the family moved to Emmett. He is survived by his wife and five children: Henry and Mrs. Doris Fifer of Emmett,Orvid of Kansas City, Mo.,and Edgar and Wilbur in thr military forces. There are also eight grandchildren, two brothers and a sister surviving.
