LORRAINE KLUCK

Lorraine Kluck, 24, died last night as she was preparing to leave Holy Family hospital for her home at Two Rivers to recuperate an appendectomy.

Her death occurred at 7 p.m. and was attributed to a blood clot, She was in high spirits as her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur (Duke) Mertens, Two Rivers, came to take her home. Shortly after getting into the car she was stricken and was taken back into the hospital where she died.

Miss Kluck was a resident of Two Rivers for the past four years and was active in girl's athletic events. She was one of the best known woman bowlers in that city.

Funeral services will be held at Two Rivers Monday morning at 8:30 o'clock from the Klein and Stangel, Inc., funeral home and at 8:45 o'clock from the St. Luke's Catholic church, with the Very Rev. dean C. V. Hugo officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery in Manitowoc.

Born at Ashland Aug. 25, 1916, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alex Kluck, Lorraine lived at Ashland until the family moved to Manitowoc in 1920. She moved to this city four years ago after the death of her mother. She was employed as a switchboard operator at Plant 2 of the Aluminum Goods Manufacturing company in Manitowoc.

Survivors are one sister, Mrs. Arthur Mertens of Two Rivers; brother, Richard of Sheboygan; a step-brother, Dr. Leon Sobush of Manitowoc; one step-sister, Miss Lucille Sobush of Manitowoc; her stepfather, A. D. Sobush of Manitowoc.

The body was taken to the Klein and Stangel, Inc., funeral home at Two Rivers where it may be viewed until the time of the funeral. The rosary will be said at the funeral home at 7:30 o'clock Sunday evening.
