Wichita Resident Since 1922 Dies
Mrs. Sarah Gertrude Nester, 74, of 2034 Salina, a resident of Wichita since 1922, died early Thursday.
She was born June 12, 1887, at Rockland, N.Y. She was a member of West Side Church of God.
Survivors include two daughters-in-law, Mrs. Reta M. Nester, of the Salina address, and Mrs. Ola Breen, Oakland, Calif.; two grandsons, Homer G. Nester of the home address, and Vernon D. Nester. Marshall. Mo.; and a granddaughter, Reta Faye Nester, 1340 Gardner Dr.
Funeral service will be held at the Culbertson Mortuary Chapel at 10 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. J. A. Barber, pastor of West Side Church of God. officiating. The Rev. Mr. Barber will be assisted by the Rev. Edwin Ogle, associate pastor. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery.
