Reverse of the stone reads: "This stone is placed in loving memory of Joseph Evans Jenkins of Brick House Plantation Planter, Statesman, Father, Friend, Signer of the Ordinance of Secession of 18860 by descendants and friends of The Jenkins Family, and all who love Brick House Anno Domini MM"

Though he is buried in the Trinity Episcopal Church Graveyard, the exact location of his burial site within the graveyard is unknown.
