Known as Sis, Mrs. Johnsonbaugh retired as a nurses aide from the Radiation and Oncology Department of Mercy Hospital, after 10 years' service.
She ws born May 14, 1941, in Hollidaysburg, the daughter of Edward and Jennie Mae (Rudy) Helsel, and July 17, 1959, married John W. Johnsonbaugh.
Surviving are her husband, a son, Darryl of Ft. Greely, Alaska, and two grandchildren.
Also surviving are six brothers and sisters: Avis Shaw and William of Altoona, Mary Mitchell of East Juniata, Lois Miller of Juniata, Edward of Harrisburg and James of Orlando, Fla.
Mrs. Johnsonbaugh was a member of Grace United Methodist church.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Leslie E. Axe Funeral Home.
JOHNSONBAUGH - Services for Florence E. Johnsonbaugh of Box 827, RD 1, Altoona will be held at 12:45 p.m. Sunday at Leslie E. Axe Funeral home by the Rev. Carl Alexy. Interment at Carson Valley Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. until the time of services Sunday at the funeral home. In memory of Florence, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. She is survived by grandson, Steven, and a granddaugher, Jacqueline.
