Funeral services for Billie J. Silvers were conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, 1996 at the Vase Funeral Chapel in Rock Springs. The Rev. Steven Todd of the First Baptist Church conducted the services. Interment was in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Jeff Brown, Paul J. Schmied, Darryl Wilfond, Jeff Rose, Randy Silvers and Ray Dumas.
Mrs. Silvers, 69, of 84 Pine St., Rock Springs, died at 4:43 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, 1996 at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County where she had been a patient since Jan. 21.
A resident of Rock Springs since 1938 and former resident of Illinois, Mrs. Silvers died after a sudden illness.
She was born Oct. 29, 1926 in White Ash, Ill., the daughter of the late James V. and Lillian Pearl Sanders Flannery. She attended schools in Illinois and Rock Springs and married Malcolm Q. “Mel” Silvers in San Francisco Jan. 11, 1945. He preceded her in death Nov. 21, 1994.
Mrs. Silvers was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Darrell and Sherri Silvers of Casper and Tim and Frances Silvers of Rock Springs; one son, Wayne Silvers of Rock Springs; two brothers, Dennis Flannery of Rock Springs and Allen Andrews of Virginia Beach, Va.; one sister, Darlene Burke of Magna, Utah; five grandchildren, Randy and Christie Silvers of Rock Springs, Sean and Amber Silvers of Casper, and Helen Coker of Benton, Tenn.; four great-grandchildren, Jessie, Josh and Chris Silvers, all of Rock Springs, and Timothy Ray Coker of Benton; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Silvers was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and Jimmy Flannery.
