Anna was born Jan. 21, 1897; the midwife was brought out in a blizzard by a team of horses.

The winter of 1916 she took a course in home ec at the Agricultural College in Fargo & was later active in the McKinley homemakers club. She married Carl Walter Jorgenson Nov. 10, 1920 and they had three children: Alfred, Arlean and Dennis. They bought a farm in 1926 & worked hard to keep it going during the depression years. Anna was an organist and Sunday School teacher at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Kensal.

Walter died Jul. 3, 1966. Anna lived to 104 and died Jun 24, 2001.
