OBITUARY :
Claysburg lost one of its oldest residents by the death of ALEXANDER C. SMITH on June 2, aged 70 years.
He was born near Fishertown, February 1, 1837, and was a veteran of the Civil War.
Mr. Smith was twice married and by his first wife is survived by one son, John. His second wife was Miss Julia Snowberger who, with four children, survives. He also leaves seven brothers and sisters, two of whom, Mrs. John Weisel and Mrs. Miller, reside at Fishertown.
