He is survived by his wife, Alejandra; his daughters, Mary Juarez and husband Felix of Floresville, Sara Alfaro and Mario Rodriguez of Floresville, Manuelita Hernandez and husband Rick of North Carolina, and Christine Navarro and husband Prudencio of Floresville; and his sons, Rafael Alfaro Jr. and wife JoAnn of Floresville, and Tony Alfaro and wife Erica of Floresville. Rafael is also survived by his sisters, Mary Lou Rodriguez and husband Joe of Kerrville, Lillie Gomez and husband Miguel of San Antonio, and Olivia Gomez and husband Ismael of Floresville; his brothers, Eleazer Alfaro of San Antonio, Samuel Alfaro and wife Dominga of San Antonio, Rudy Alfaro and wife Yolanda of San Antonio, Antonio Alfaro and wife Stella of Floresville, Arthur Alfaro of Floresville, Frank Alfaro of Floresville, and Johnny Joe Guerrero of San Antonio; 24 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation began at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 9, in the Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville.
A prayer service was held Sunday at 7 p.m. in the chapel.
A funeral service was held Monday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Al Saldaña officiating.
Interment followed in the Floresville City Cemetery.
