Leonard C Kinser, 83, 2618 Beale Ave., died Tuesday morning Jan. 6, 1998, at his home, following an extended illness.
He was born Dec. 24, 1914, in Royalton, Ohio, the son of Wesley E. and Hester B. (Young) Kinser. He married Mary Louise Lupfer July 12, 1938, in Coatesville.
Mr. Kinser was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Altoona Ward.
He retired as a self-employed jeweler in Altoona in 1985 after 40 years of service.
Mr. Kinser was a 1934 graduate of Altoona High School.
His hobbies included golfing, bowling and woodworking.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Rebecca L., at home; four sons: William L., Michael W. and Timothy C., all of Altoona, and Robert E. of Checotah, Okla.; two sisters: Margaret Miller and Mary Folk, both of Altoona; 14 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Daniel R. Myers Funeral Home.
KINSER – Funeral services for Leonard C. Kinser will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Daniel R. Myers Funeral Home by Bishop Elwood T. Claar. Interment at Carson Valley Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Preceded in death by a brother, Alvin; and a sister, Florence.
