James Stokes, 40, died at 10:15 o'clock Tuesday morning at his home at Richland following a brief illness.
He was the son of the late Frank Stokes and is survived by the widow, a son, mother, Mrs. Ollie Smith, Graham; three brothers, Melvin Stokes, Graham, Clarence Stokes, Dawson Springs and Elvis Stokes, Depoy, and two sisters, Mrs. Helen Averitt, Richland and Mrs. Bertha Wright, Grand Rivers.
Funeral will be conducted at Sothards chapel ar 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon. Burial will be in the adjacent cemetery.
