John E. Woodward, Sr., 52, was killed at 2:05 a.m. today when his car veered off Highway 99 in Edmonds, went into a ditch and struck a pile of lumber near 228th Street Southwest. Edmonds police said Woodward apparently had moved recently to Edmonds. He formerly lived at 511 N.E. 84th St.
