"Death Claims Mrs. Lillie Christian

"Mrs. Lillie Christian died at her home in this city Tuesday night. Funeral services will be held from the Sweet funeral chapel here Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Rev. Mr. R. A. Simonds, pastor of the Federated church, in charge. Interment will be made in the Odd Fellows cemetery.
"Mrs. Christian, born 72 years ago, came with her parents to Orland when a tiny girl of three, and for the past 69 years had made her home continuously at this place. During all her life, till illness forced her retirement, she was interested in the social life of the community. She was prominent in lodge work, and filled all the places of honor in both the Eastern Star and Rebekah lodges.
"Mrs. Christian is survived by the following children: Mrs. Nellie Weston of Flournoy; Mrs. Viola Seavers, Orland; Mrs. Rovilla McNealy, Palm Springs; Calvin Christian, Orland; Granville Christian, Orland; Mrs. Metta Walker, Orland; Oscar Christian, Orland and J. H. Christian of Orland. She is also survived by two brothers and a sister: Grace, Henry and George Steuben, all of Orland."
