Henry Bert Ashcroft Sr., age 90, passed away at his home in Taylorsville, Utah, July 19, 2005. He was born on May 5, 1915, in Hyde Park, Utah, son of Herbert and Agnes Tedora Christofferson Ashcroft and the oldest of 12 children. He married Lucille Palmer on Oct. 6, 1938, and they were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He owned and operated a dairy farm in Preston, Idaho, for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille; children, Shirley (Brian) Sellers and Bert (Ann) Ashcroft; daughter-in-law, Janet Ashcroft; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Melba, LaRue, Carma, Clyde and Gary. He was preceded in death by his children, Scott and Judith Ashcroft.
Funeral services were held in Salt Lake City, Utah, on July 23, under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home. Interment was in the Whitney Cemetery, Whitney, Idaho.
