Ocala - A TIME TO BE BORN: Born April 5, 1960, Gwendolyn Renee "Cookie" Hagins-McKeever was the twelfth child born to the late Rufus Hagins, Sr. and Mary Lou Hagins. A TIME TO LEARN: Gwendolyn graduated from Belleview Santos High School, Marion County, Belleview, FL, June 1978. She reveived a Bachelors degree in Christian Counseling from the Rainbow School of Ministry. She was a mentor to young and old in all walks of life. A TIME TO LIVE: Gwendolyn worked as a tutor at Job Corp, Gainesville, FL. She was a professional Clothing Designer. She was known and sought after across the country for her design in ministerial garments, womens clothing, and also for her profound skill and mannerism as dedicated and loyal Armourbearer; which was her greatest love. A TIME TO LOVE: In the year of 1987, the 14th day of August, she was joined in holy matrimony to the late Willie C. McKeever. A TIME TO SERVE: In her younger years, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Saviour and attended Elizabeth Baptist Church in West Belleview, FL and as time progressed in her life she heard a call to come up higher and received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost at a revival in Belleview, Florida in the mid 70's under the auspices of Apostle Dr. Eliza B. Tate. She served faithfully and loyalty at Faith, Hope & Charity Deliverance Center, Inc. as Chief Armourbearer to Apostle Tate and Head Marshal of The Rainbow School of Ministry. A TIME TO DIE: On Tuesday, January 20, 2009, the tender spirit of Gwendolyn heard the voice of God whisper "Peace Be Thine" and she took her flight to join her saviour in that home not built by hand. A TIME TO MOURN: She was preceded in death by her father Dea. Rufus Hagins, Sr. 10/08/91, her husband Dea. Willie C. McKeever 01/31/97, and her brother Rev. Dr. Dennis Hagins, Sr., 10/08/08. Tate conducting the services. Interment will be on Monday, February 2, 2009 in the Damascus Cemetery, Alachua, Florida. Arrangements are under the care of Summers Funeral Home, Inc. 2238 Northwest 10th Street Ocala, Florida 34475 352-351-0566.
