I. Lee Atkinson, 90, of Richmond, passed away October 4, 2006. He was the widower of Vernelle T. Atkinson . He is survived by his daughter, Sandra Atkinson ; his son, Jim Atkinson and his wife, Gail; two granddaughters, Dana Atkinson and Kelly Rowland and her husband, Cliff; his great-granddaughter, Camryn Rowland; two brothers, William J. and John D. Atkinson ; two sisters, Dorothy Smith and Catherine Peatross. Mr. Atkinson retired from Southwestern General Life Insurance and was a member of Chamberlayne Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.
