"Harold E. McPherson about 56, was found dead about 10 a.m. today in his room at 2114 1/2 Main. Death was reported to be from natural causes.
At one time he was employed as a mechanic. Attempts are being made to locate a sister, Mrs. Hugh Armstrong.
"At the request of relatives the body of Harold E. McPherson, 57, was sent today to the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.
McPherson was found dead Wednesday at his home at 2114 1/2 Main. He had lived in Parsons since 1954, coming here from Bremerton, Washington.
He was a native of Labette County. He was born July 29, 1913, at Bartlett, the son of Eldon and Gladys McPherson. He worked as a laborer.
He was married to Edna Paschal and they were divorced in 1935. He is survived by a son, Jerry, of Lacy, Wash. and two daughters, Mrs. Delbert (Billie) Vance, Montesano, Wash., and one living in Alaska. There is one sister, Mrs. Hugh Armstrong, of Frankfort.
The Carson Dick Funeral Home was in charge."
