Surgeon on the frigate 'Palembang' of the Royal Dutch Navy. He died aboard his ship. He was buried next to his colleague J.M. Soetermeer, who had died two months before. The Dutchmn awaited the return from the capital of a mission.
He came from Saarlouis (Germany). His parents were Gottlieb Roetteken and Marianna Kalthoff.
