Our entire community has been saddened by the death of Mr. Eber Martin. Mr. Martin had been ill for some time. He will indeed be greatly missed in our midst. The writer extends her heart-felt sympathy to all the loved ones.

Eber W. Martin -- Funeral services for Eber W. Martin, 69, will be held today at his Willow Bend plantation home in Bossier parish with the Rev. D. T. Brown officiating. Mr. Martin, planter and trucking contractor, died at his home yesterday afternoon.
Survivors include his widow; three daughters, Mrs. Allen Mears, Rocky Mt., Mrs. W. E. Richie, Henderson, and Mrs. J. E. Jimmerson, Benton; two sons, Guy Martin, 241 Ockley Drive, Shreveport and Logan M. Martin, Benton; two brothers, C. E. Martin, Breckinredge, Texas, and W. H. Martin, Plain Dealing; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be J. H. Montgomery, Jr., R. L. Sims, Ralph C. Farley, Ivan Whittington, Jr., Ford Stinson, J. W. Gillespie, Cody Beasley, and Bill Dooley.
Burial will be in Forest Park cemetery. Mr. Martin was born in Rocky Mt., the son of the late Dr. and Mrs. R. Martin.
