Novice T. Dempsey 81, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on January 30, 2009. Novice was born on January 30, 1927 in Allen Co., Kentucky to the late Edward and Delaine Fishburn.
Novice had been a Laborer for the PR Mallory Co., Stewart Warner Co. and General Electric Co. Novice was a member of the Fairview Memorial Missionary Baptist Church of Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Novice is survived by her loving husband, Oris W. Dempsey, whom she was joined in marriage to on August 9, 1950.
Novice is also survived by her sons, Gary (Joyce), Michael (Karen) Dempsey; a daughter, Pamela (Charles) Ricker; ten grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sisters, Earlene Stinson, Mildred Evans and Blanche Long.
Novice was preceded in death by her son, Mark Dempsey; brothers, Paul and Noel Fishburn and sister, Clara Cook.
Services will be held on Monday February 2, 2009 11 a.m. at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center- Decatur Township with visitation there on Sunday February 1st 4 to 8 p.m.
Burial will follow the service at West Newton Cemetery.
