Atwater Man's Death Is Laid To Infected Tooth

MERCED, Feb. 12 - An infected tooth is believed to have caused the death of George E. Adams, 25, of Atwater, at Livingston, yesterday. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Edna Adams, to whom he had been married less than a week. Mrs. Adams formerly was Miss Edna Pickens of Livingston.

He also leaves his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Adams; four brothers, Oral, Burl, Kenneth and Harold Adams, and three sisters, Mrs. Opal Lowry, Miss Pearl Adams and Miss Dorothy Adams, all of Chowchilla.

Funeral services will be held at 1 A.M. Thursday at the chapel of the Ivers and Alcorn Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Asphodel Cemetery.

Livingston Man Missing Over 2 Months Is Sought

MERCED, Feb. 13 - Relatives are searching for Charles Pickens, about 45, who was last heard from on Thanksgiving Day when he left his home and family at their home in Livingston to look for work. He has a wife and three children. He was reported seen at Los Banos recently.

Pickens, a farm laborer, is the father of Mrs. Edna Adams, whose husband died yesterday from the effects of an infected tooth. Adams was married less than a week ago.

Funeral services for Adams will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday at the chapel of the Ivers & Alcorn Funeral Home. Burial will be in Asphodel Cemetery.
