Retired Farmer Dies A Home Today;
Funeral Sunday
H Luther Holliday, retired farmer, passed away at his home on Paris Route one at about two o'clock this morning, following an illness of six or seven weeks. He was 80 years old.
Services will be held at the Palestine Methodist Church Sunday afternoon at 2:30, conducted by the Rev. G. W. Sparks, Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be at McEvoy Funeral Home until time for the services.
Born in Kentucky, the deceased was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. His wife, the former Viola Hampton preceded him in death in 1936. His survivors include a son, J. H. Holliday, of Paris, and one sister, Mrs. E. J Looney, of Henry County.
