Man Dies Of Stabbing
GALIVANTS FERRY -- Hubert Johnnie Alford, 41, died Sunday as a result of a stab wound, according to Horry County Coroner J. Clayton Richardson.
The coroner said the case is under investigation.
A son of Alex and Ruby Richardson Alford, he was born in Horry County, where he was a carpenter.
Funeral services will be today at 10:30 a.m. in Rehobeth Baptist Church.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Edna Earle Hughes Alford; two sons, Johnnie Earl and Milton Alexander Alford of the home; a daughter, Miss Edna Karen Alford of the home; three brothers, James and David Alford of Galivants Ferry and Jerry Alford of Conway; and four sisters, Mrs. J. W. Hyman, Mrs. Marvin Alford and Mrs. Janson Todd of Conway and Mrs. Grayson Gunter of Galivants Ferry.
Goldfinch Funeral Home in Conway is in charge.
